[ Sasuke listens and listens, and while he keeps his face passive, he gets a cold feeling in the pit of his stomach. He doesn't like how Zenitsu has met with a pain he's felt. It just proves that he needs to make amends with Tanjiro. No one should have to deal with that pain alone like he had.

And then that coldness all but vanishes in an instance when Zenitsu admits that last bit, the confession. ]

[ Is Sasuke blushing? He might just be. Oh gods, this just got more complicated on another whole level. ]

You're in love with him?! How long has this been going on?

[ Does he hear embarrassed sounds? Anyone should be. Even Zenitsu's feeling a little bit of shame that he normally doesn't have an ounce of. ]

I said forget about it!! Don't ask about it! You never heard it!! I like girls instead!!!

[ He'll just keep yelling instead of actually answering Sasuke's question. ]

[ Sasuke returns to his own form because this is just awkward now for the both of them. (And Sasuke can feel the his cheeks are actually flushed, and he hopes his face paint hides it. Because wtf?!) ]

Forget? No wonder you've been messing up. You're dealing with way too many feelings at once.

[ Yet another indecisiveness from Zenitsu. Sasuke gives a long, heavy sigh. What is he going to do? How can he help this guy? ]

[ It's ok Sasuke, Zenitsu's too busy wallowing in his own self-pity about his situation to notice your blushing. ]

You're telling me! And whenever I hear how happy Tanjiro is, it makes it even harder to tell him my thoughts!!

[ ... ... Whenever Sasuke sees Yukimura act like his old self, it makes Sasuke bury his stress and darkness even deeper into his non-existent heart. ]

[ The metaphor is different, but Sasuke gets why Zenitsu hesitates. Still, it's too late; the damage has been done. ]

After you apologize, I think you should tell him that. It would help explain your actions.

[ Just giving advice Sasuke wouldn't ever follow himself. Yep. Their situations are different. Zenitsu is human. Sasuke is a ninja. So, giving but not following his own advice is perfectly okay. ]

[ Zenitsu manages to calm himself down again as he listens to Sasuke's words. ]

...Is it even a good thing to confess to him? He deserves to be happy with a girl, not with a guy like me. I've also only had this feeling since a little bit after I woke back up in May.

I don't want Tanjiro to feel like he's obligated to do something about it and stay here, I'd rather have him go back home so he can get his sister back to being a human.

[ After all, Nezuko was Tanjiro's last living family and she was someone that was more important than his own life. ]

[ That obligation to stay argument isn't valid. Some of other points... yeah, those could be something to consider. However, they don't have the option to return or stay.

Sasuke wouldn't be playing relationship counselor if he could go home. ]

And I didn't say you needed to work on that right now either. You'll be skipping over a step if you don't apologize first.

Well... If we figure out how people go back home then it wouldn't be by chance then, right?

[ Like Zenitsu would be able to convince anyone to go home regardless. ]

And wouldn't I need to let him know of the reason why when I apologize?

I was talking about you telling him that it's hard for you to talk to him because he sounds happy and you not wanting to upset him. That's the reason why. You have to make it through that first before anything else potentially happens.

...Wait, he wouldn't even think that far. I guess I would be safe without confessing my true feelings then.

[ He was just thinking too much, like usual! He was so wrapped up in his own thoughts, he didn't even see that himself. Zenitsu feels like he just went through some revelation. ]

[ ... You know what? Sasuke will take it. He still thinks Zenitsu should confess, but that can come much later. At least he's focusing on the more immediate problem. ]

Friends and allies can still worry about upsetting someone, so no, he won't think of it further unless you give him a reason to.

[ It'll take another billion years for Zenitsu to confess like that to a boy. That aside, this conversation, even though some things he really didn't need to say got revealed, did help sort his thoughts out. ]

...I think I got it. As long as I focus on apologizing, it should be fine. Thanks, Sasuke-san!!

[ Zenitsu definitely feels loads better about the situation, at least. Talk about all that weight on his shoulders being taken off. He still need to be careful not to let Tanjiro pick up on romantic feelings, that's all. Yep. ]

I'm going to give you two days to apologize, and if you haven't by then, I'm putting both of you in the same room and blocking every exit.

[ Sasuke might have put some weight back on those shoulders, but he's not leaving it up to Zenitsu again. (Please don't make Sasuke do this. Be better than last time.) ]

Two days?! I have only two days!?!

[ He's back to his usual shrieking. ]

I gave you a few weeks last time to talk to Crow Pupil, and what happened then?

[ And back to disappointed mom look. ]

[ Deep inside, he's kind of glad Sasuke's being strict. In a way, it reminds him of his teacher. He's appreciative of it, but showing it is another story... ]

Okay, okay! I'll talk to him in two days! Please don't lock me in a room with him?! I'm gonna die for real if that happens!!

[ Sometimes the best way to get the point across is to be strict. ]

[ He'll say that, but he'll start making his way to the exit of the building, grumbling under his breath. He stops before exiting, turning to look over at Sasuke. ]

Uhm... Thanks, for listening to me again.

I'm a ninja. What did you expect?

[ That kind of smile on his face is probably not the most reassuring, but he's just teasing now. ]

Two days~ remember that.

[ Zenitsu's picking up on that teasing... And makes a face. ]

I know, I know! I'll talk to Tanjiro before then!!

[ He says, more of like a grumble than anything, and he leaves the building.

With his entire mess of emotions spilled out and sorted out, his head is feeling a lot clearer. He can't cause any more trouble on his friends, so he's going to definitely get a hold of Tanjiro before the two days is up! ]

[ Sasuke watches Zenitsu leave, hoping that this time there will be a better end. Then his communicator goes off. (Damn it! He thought he made it stay quiet!)
